As you are already aware, the Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FICCI) has actively engaged in bringing in policy and regulatory reforms in the health insurance space through multi-stakeholder engagement over the years. It is in this context, that the FICCI is organizing the ninth edition of its much-awaited flagship Annual Health Insurance Conferences on December 8, 2016 at Hotel The Ashok, New Delhi. The theme for this year\u2019s Conference is \u2018Making Health Insurance Universal and Sustainable\u2019. Mr. T S Vijayan, Chairman, IRDAI would be inaugurating the Conference as the Chief Guest.<\/p>\n

The focus of this year\u2019s conference is to identify innovative ways\u00a0 to make health insurance coverage universal while at the same time maintaining the profitability and hence sustainability of the sector. Key enablers of the central theme will form the topics to be discussed during various sessions. The sessions will focus on penetration, digitization, and operational efficiencies, all of which will tie into the ultimate objective of providing appropriate health insurance coverage to a large set of patients. Given the multi-faceted nature of the aspiration, the conference will bring diverse stakeholders viz. the government, regulators, the health insurance industry, healthcare providers, TPA, social Health insurance schemes, medical technology companies etc. to ensure that the discussion and outcomes are desired, pragmatic and sustainable.
