The LGBTQIA+ community is at risk and needs to monitor and manage their condition to avoid premature mortality or morbidity.<\/span><\/p>\n<h2><b><strong id=\"Understanding-diabetes\">Understanding diabetes<\/strong><\/b><\/h2>\n<p><b><\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Diabetes is a chronic health condition that results from uncontrolled blood glucose levels. <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Diabetes can be of two types:<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><b>Type-1 diabetes<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">: The inability of the pancreas to produce insulin efficiently. It is usually a condition developed at birth.<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><br \/>\n<\/span><b><\/b><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><b>Type-2 diabetes: <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The inability of the body to use insulin effectively.
