Subhro Bhaduri is the Chief Human Resources Officer at Aditya Birla Capital Limited ("ABCL") and serves on the Board of Aditya Birla Capital Foundation.
Having joined the organisation in 2014, Subhro and his team have played a pivotal role in its rapid growth and development. During his tenure, the company not only consolidated its leadership position across various business segments but also launched several new lines of businesses.
Under his leadership, ABCL has been widely recognized for its people practices. Notable accolades include being named among the 'Great Places to Work' (2016), the 'BM Munjal Award' for Learning and Development in the services sector (2017), ranked as the second-best firm in financial services to work for in the Business Today Study (2018), the 'Brandon Hall Group Excellence Award' for the Best Learning Team (2021), recognition from ATD for Best Talent Development Practices, and the 'Economic Times Human Capital Award' for Excellence in Fostering a Culture of Continuous Learning and Upskilling (2025), among many others.
In his earlier role, Subhro was with Kotak Mahindra Bank as the Head of HR, where he led the HR mandate during its growth and expansion phase from 2005 to 2014. He started his career at Shaw Wallace and Company Ltd., as a Management Trainee and grew up the ranks to become their Head of HR and Industrial Relations.
Subhro has over three decades of rich experience in human resources management, with a strong focus on change management, culture building, organisation design and effectiveness, digital HR, developing human capital best practices, building scalable and high-quality enterprises, and managing industrial relations across manufacturing and financial services industries.
He holds a Bachelor's degree in Commerce from Calcutta University, a Post-graduate degree in Human Resources from the Xavier Institute of Social Service, and a Master's degree in Consulting and Coaching for Change (Clinical Organisational Psychology) from INSEAD, Singapore.
