firstly, You said nadi shodhan pranayama is commonly known as anulomaviloma pranayama. However, that is not the case. rather, it is commonly mistaken to be called so. Anuloma viloma pranayama is without holding the breath whereas, nadishodhan is with holding the breath.
Secondly, if you look as the pathophysiology of asthma it is not recommended to breath fast, forceful and deep. It will be most appropriate to breath slow and deep. Kapalbhati and bhastrika pranayama is fast and forceful type of breathing exercise.
