NPS Account Number

PRAN (Permanent Retirement Account Number)

As the name suggests, this is a unique 12-digit number given to every NPS subscriber.

Internet Access

This is required for online checks through the website or app.

Registered Mobile Number & Email ID

You need them to receive balance updates via SMS or email.

CRA Portal

There are a few CRA (Central Recordkeeping Agencies) portals like Protean, CAMS, or Kfintech. Login to the portal that has granted your PRAN to check your balance. The process is as follows:

  • Step 2 - Make sure to enter the captcha correctly and check the ‘I understand that’ box.

CRA App

You can also use the mobile application of your CRA and check the balance. The process is as follows:

  • Step 2 - If you are new, register using your mobile number. Otherwise, give your login details.
  • Step 3 - Search for ‘NPS’ in the app.

  • Step 5 - View your total NPS balance.

In addition to checking your balance, the app lets you update your email and phone number, withdraw from your Tier II account, and access other services.
