  • Step 3 : Fill out the form accurately. Make sure to provide all the correct information. Mention all the details about your vehicle including type, date of purchase, date of registration, etc.
  • Step 4 : Submit the properly filled form along with all relevant documents at the mentioned counter. Pay the asked tax amount.
  • Step 5 : Remember to get the receipt of payment. This will be needed for any future reference.

Online Payment You can always pay the road tax from the convenience of your home. Here’s a detailed step-by-step process:

  • Step 1 : Open the official Parivahan website.
  • Step 2 : From the top menu, choose the 'Online Services' section and select 'Vehicle-Related Services'.
  • Step 3 : Select your state ‘Maharashtra’ from the drop-down menu.
  • Step 4 : Give your registration number, choose the relevant RTO from the drop-down menu, and click on ‘Proceed’.
  • Step 5 : Select the ‘Services’ tab. Next, choose ‘Tax/Fee Services’.
  • Step 6 : Select ‘Pay Your Tax’. Enter the registration number of your vehicle. Also, provide the chassis number’s last five characters.
  • Step 7 : Once you provide the details, select ‘Verify Details’. A road tax collection form will be shown. Provide all the information here.
  • Step 8 : Choose the ‘Payment’ option and then the ‘Confirm Payment’ option.
  • Step 9 : After selecting your preferred mode of online payment, click on ‘Continue’.
  • Step 10 : On successful payment transactions, a receipt will be provided. Download this receipt and save it on your computer. You can also take a printout of the same for any future enquiry.
