Why Laughter Is The Best Medicine To Relieve Stress?

While growing, throughout our childhood we have always heard the proverb ‘Laughter is the best medicine’.  One must believe the wonders that a small smile or laughter can do. This is a very simple proverb which reflects a profound meaning. It means that laughter is like that one medicine which helps us to free from any kind of tension & stress with no cost to be paid.
Laughter indeed is a strong medicine. It controls people together in such ways that trigger healthy physical and emotional variations in the body of the people.

Laughter not only heals us but also people around us when they are upset or have any kind of stress or tension. Laughing at least once every day will make us feel like a happier person, along with filling us up with energy and excitement. Moreover, laughing or even passing a smile to any stranger or friend around us can change their entire day, or sometimes even their life.

Laughter is good for health. A good amount of hearty laughter has the power to relax our muscles for more than thirty minutes after. So, let go of all that stress and physical tension by bringing the zest of laughter into your life. The immune cells count, and the count of antibodies increases by laughing, and these help us become more resilient to diseases. The flow of blood increases with the increase of oxygen-rich air intake on laughing and therefore laughing is an excellent exercise to protect the human heart from cardiovascular problems

This might surprise us, but laughing helps in the burning of calories. Yes! It is true! It is a fact that approximately 40 calories are burnt in a day on 10 to 15 minutes of laughing. But, it is no replacement for exercise; a balanced amount of everything is required in life to stay healthy. And since we are talking about balance, laughter helps us maintain the balance of human emotions.
Laughter is also said to be contagious because the positive vibe of the scene of one person attractively laughing can cheer others up too.

As a child, I often used to think about why people join laughing clubs and practice laughing along with some synchronized exercises early morning. With time, I realized that laughter has such positive effects on human health. It boosts the immune system, triggers the release of endorphins, and reduces anxiety and stress. And it is because of these reasons that laughter is famously called the best medicine.

If you see someone with their head down or face upset, or being extra quiet than usual or reserved, spread your smile with them. Your smile can fill someone with positivity.
You’re more likely to laugh around other people than when you’re alone. And the more laughter you bring into your own life, the happier you and those around you will feel.

As children, we used to laugh hundreds of times a day, but as adults, life tends to be more serious and laughter more infrequent. But by seeking out more opportunities for laughter, you can improve your emotional health, strengthen your relationships, find greater happiness and even add years to your life. With so much power to heal and renew, the ability to laugh easily and frequently is a tremendous resource to overcome problems, enhancing your relationships, and supporting both physical and emotional health. Best of all, this priceless medicine is fun, free, and easy to use.
