How to Apply for UTI PAN Card Online and Offline

UTI Infrastructure Technology and Services Limited ( UTIITSL ) was formed in 1993. Currently being one of India's largest financial service companies, it is controlled by the government and is responsible for providing technological and outsourcing services to various government and financial organisations in India.It also looks after the issues of UTI PAN Cards, which are 10-digit alphanumeric numbers, to eligible Indian taxpayers. Here's a detailed step-by-step guide to help you through the process and enjoy the convenience of the UTI PAN service:

Online Application Process via UTI Website

• Go to the UTIITSL PAN Card official website.
• Under the PAN Card for Indian Citizens section, click the 'Click to Apply' option.
• You will be redirected to a new page. Click 'Apply for New PAN Card' button.
• Choose the mode of the PAN card: either Physical Mode (where a physical PAN card is delivered) or Digital Mode (e-PAN only).
• Select the appropriate application status, such as Individual, LLP, HUF, etc.
• Decide whether you need both a physical PAN card and an e-PAN or just an e-PAN.
• Click 'Submit' to proceed.
• A reference number will be generated for future reference until the application number is generated. Click 'Ok' to continue.
• Enter your full name, date of birth, gender, office/residence address, and address for communication.
• Enter your Aadhaar Number or Enrolment ID. Re-enter the Aadhaar number for verification.
• Click 'Next Step'.
• Provide details for identity proof, address proof, and date of birth proof.
• Enter your telephone number with ISD Code, area/STD Code, and e-mail address.
• Provide the name of your father and optionally, your mother's name. Click 'Next Step'.
• Fill in your address details and source of income.
• Provide AO Code, AO Type, Range Code, AO number, and representative assessee address details.
• Upload the documents selected in the previous step.
• Click 'Validation', followed by 'Submit' once the application is filled in.
• Pay the application fee through net banking, debit card, credit card, UPI, etc.
• Save and print the application.
• Attach copies of the supporting documents and affix two photographs of size 3.5cm x 2.5cm.
• Submit the application form to the nearest UTIITSL office in Mumbai, Kolkata, Chennai, or New Delhi.

Note: A 15-digit acknowledgement number will be issued to track the application status. The PAN Card is usually issued within 15 working days from the date of application.

If you prefer to apply for a PAN Card offline, follow these steps:

• Download the PAN Card application form from the UTIITSL or UTI website or collect it from a nearby UTIITSL agent.
• Carefully fill in the form with details such as full name, residential address, birth date, gender, contact number, etc.
• Submit the filled form to the UTIITSL office along with the required processing fee.
• UTIITSL will issue the PAN Card within 15 working days.

Note: To avail of this facility, you need to apply and pay an online fee of ₹107 (₹1017 for dispatch outside India) and ₹72 for only e-PAN.

Two types of forms are available for a UTI PAN Card offered by UTIITSL:

• Form 49A: For Indian citizens residing within or outside India. It is used by individuals, companies, NGOs, and local authorities.
• Form 49AA: For foreign nationals working in India, OCI, NRE individuals, and other entities registered outside India.

The PAN card is issued with a Permanent Account Number, a unique identifier for each individual. Certain permanent details (those that do not change over time) are printed on the card. This helps avoid unnecessary updates to the UTIITSL PAN card due to changes in address or contact details.

Different Kinds of UTIITSL PAN Cards
