Mental illness waiting period - 48 months
The following individuals must buy the Super Health Plus Top-Up policy to benefit in the following ways:
Aging individuals, especially those above 60 years, may face higher health risks and increased medical expenses. A Super Health Plus Top-Up policy provides additional coverage beyond the threshold of their primary health insurance, ensuring comprehensive protection.
Parents, who may be in an older age bracket, can benefit from the extra financial security offered by a Super Health Plus Top-Up policy. This coverage becomes particularly important as healthcare needs tend to increase with age.
Employer-provided health insurance plans often come with limitations. Employees can consider a Super Health Plus Top-Up policy to supplement their employer's coverage, offering an added layer of protection against unexpected medical expenses.
Individuals who find that their current health insurance coverage is inadequate can opt for a Super Health Plus Top-Up policy. This ensures additional financial support when the sum insured of their primary health plan is exhausted, offering a safety net during emergencies.
A super top-up plan acts as an extra layer of protection over your existing coverage, tackling high medical bills exceeding your base plan's sum insured. Think of it as a financial safety net for unexpected medical emergencies.
A higher sum insured translates to greater financial protection against potentially hefty medical bills. Consider your base plan limits and future healthcare inflation when making this decision.
Yes, you can add your family members under super top-up plan. You can include your spouse, dependent children, dependent parents as well as extended family members like grandparents, grandchildren and more.
Yes, you can enjoy cashless hospitalization at Aditya Birla Health's network hospitals or empanelled service providers with your super top-up plan, just like your health insurance base plan. Please ensure to check the updated list of network providers before availing the services.
In the first claim, the amount is lower than the deductible limit of ₹4 lakhs. As such, the first claim would not be paid by the super top-up plan. However, in the second claim, the aggregate claim amounts to ₹5 lakhs (₹2 lakhs for the first claim and ₹3 lakhs for the second one). The aggregate claim is higher than the deductible limit. As such, you will get a claim of ₹1 lakhs (the claim exceeding the deductible) in the second instance.
Aditya Birla boasts a wide network of hospitals, cashless claims, coverage for hospitalization and daycare procedures, and competitive premiums. Plus, you get access to their wellness initiatives and value-added services.
Yes, children can be covered under this policy as per the following age limits.
A family floater plan is one wherein two or more members of a family are covered under the same policy. The members share the sum insured of the policy jointly.
Yes, there is a 24-month waiting period for certain specified diseases or procedures after the inception of the first policy. This doesn't apply to accident-related claims.
A pre-existing disease is one which you already suffer from when you buy the plan for the first time. Such diseases are not covered in the initial few years of the Super Health Plus Top-Up insurance plan.
A typical health insurance plan provides coverage for medical expenses up to a specified limit. In contrast, a Super Health Plus Top-Up insurance policy offers supplementary coverage once the limit of your regular health insurance policy is reached.
The discounts offered under the plan includes the following -
1) A long-term discount of 7.5% and 10% on selecting a 2 and 3-year policy, respectively.
2) Family Discount on multi-individual policy: 4 members and above in a policy - 10% .
Factors like age, deductible, pre-existing disease and sum insured will affect the Super Health Plus Top-Up insurance premium.
In a super top-up health insurance plan, the deductible refers to a specific amount you, the policyholder, are responsible for paying out-of-pocket or through your existing Health Insurance policy before the insurance company (from whom Super top up plan was purchased) starts covering your medical expenses.
It is possible to choose a higher deductible limit in a Super Health Plus Top-Up plan, but the limit depends upon the policy that has been chosen.
The fundamental distinction between top-up and super-top-up health insurance lies in the coverage limit. While a Super Health Plus Top-Up health insurance policy reimburses medical expenses exceeding the policy's coverage limit, a top-up health insurance plan only covers expenses beyond the policy limit once per year.
