- PAN Card
- Student Photo Identity Cards from a recognised institution
- Birth Certificates
- Last passport issued (in case of re-issue only)
- Voter ID
- Driving Licenses
- Bank Passbook or Kisan Passbook or Post Office Passbook
- Certificate of OBC/SC/ST
- Pension Documents
- Service Photo Identity Card
Note : For applicants under the age of 18 years, you need to attach any two of the above-mentioned documents.
Tatkal Passport Eligibility Criteria—Who Can Apply For Tatkal Passport?
Tatkal passport can be applied by those who are under and over 18 years of age. Those falling in the category of under 18 years of age can apply with at least two of the above listed documents.Applicants who are over the age of 18 years can apply with at least 3 of the above mentioned documents. The regional Passport Office (RTO) decides whether an applicant qualifies for a Tatkal passport.
Tatkal Passport Ineligibility
The Tatkal passport schemeis designed for those who have genuine and urgent travel needs. Misuse of this scheme is strictly prohibited.The following applicant categories are not eligible for a Tatkal passport:
- Individuals who have been deported from another country to India
- Indian nationals or those born abroad to Indian parents
- Residents of India who obtained citizenship through naturalization or registration
- Persons being repatriated to India from abroad
- Individuals seeking to change their name on their passport
- Residents of Jammu & Kashmir and Nagaland
- Indian citizens of Naga descent living outside Nagaland
