  • State Code: The first two letters represent the state or union territory where the vehicle is registered.

  • Unique Identifier: The vehicle registration number is a unique four-digit or letter combination in the state and RTO.

    For example, a number plates in the style "MH 12 AB 1234" shows that the vehicle is registered in Maharashtra (MH), at the Pune RTO (12), and has the unique identity "AB 1234."

  • Tamper-Proof Design: Made of aluminium to be tamper-resistant, prohibiting unauthorised removal or duplication.

  • Enhanced Security: The laser-etched code and hologram make it harder for thieves to clone or tamper with the number plate.

  • Vehicle Purchase: Buy a new vehicle from a dealership. The dealer often aids in the RTO registration procedure.
