The Ayushman Bharat Yojana scheme offers health insurance facilities to vulnerable and lower-class people who find it hard to meet medical expenses when hospitalized. The entire treatment cost is borne by the Government (60:40 cost sharing by the centre and the state). The inpatient charges during hospitalization, along with the medical expenditure, are free of cost under the Ayushman Bharat Yojana scheme.
