When I joined Aditya Birla Capital four years ago, I was stepping into a new sector with more than two decades of experience across businesses and finance roles within the Aditya Birla Group. What drew me to Aditya Birla Capital (ABC) was the opportunity to work in a different business environment while building on everything I had learnt along the way.
Corporate Finance offers a broad organizational perspective, bringing together multiple teams, businesses, and priorities. Much of what I do today draws on experiences gathered over many years. Lessons from investor relations continue to shape how I think about governance and value creation. Experiences from earlier transactions often become relevant in new situations. The context may change, but the learning stays with you.
That is something I have valued at ABC. The work gives me the opportunity to bring together different experiences rather than operate within a single area of expertise. Whether it is working with business teams, supporting strategic initiatives, or collaborating with stakeholders across the organization, there is always a broader perspective to consider.
Some of my most memorable assignments have involved people with very different expertise coming together around a common objective. Those projects showed me how much stronger outcomes can be when people bring different expertise together. Working across teams has been a constant part of my experience at Aditya Birla Capital.
Over the years, my focus as a leader has evolved. Technical expertise remains important, but a significant part of leadership is helping others develop theirs. Seeing team members take on larger responsibilities and grow into new challenges is one of the most rewarding parts of my role.
What stands out to me about my time at ABC is that it has never felt static. New business situations, new challenges, and new perspectives continue to emerge. Even after many years in finance, I have found opportunities to apply my experience differently, learn from others, and contribute in ways I may not have anticipated earlier in my career.
Aditya Birla Capital has given me the space to do that. It is a place where experience is valued and where I have continued to build on it.
