Aditya Birla Capital Limited
When I first joined Aditya Birla Capital as a summer intern in 2018, I did not realise how profoundly this place would shape me. Over the last five years, I’ve experienced what feels like multiple careers within one organisation, driven by the freedom to explore, reflect, and evolve.

What truly shaped my journey was the First 10 Best 10 initiative. It brought a fundamental shift in how early careers are viewed at ABC, not as linear paths, but as learning journeys. Role movements became intentional, encouraged, and deeply supported.

Career conversations changed from “Why move?” to “What’s next?” That mindset made all the difference for me.

Since then, every role change has come through intentional and transparent conversations. I was never told to “wait my turn.” Instead, I was consistently asked, “What’s next for you?” That level of trust is rare, especially in the early stages of one’s career, and it’s something I’ve never taken for granted.

I began my journey at Aditya Birla Capital as an intern, which gave me my first exposure to HR in a large and diverse organisation. I later returned as a Management Trainee and, over the next five years, made three role moves,  into a Regional HR role at Aditya Birla Sun Life Insurance, then into talent management, and now into my current role in compensation and benefits. Each transition helped me build confidence, broaden my perspective, and understand where I can make the greatest impact.  Instead of being boxed into a single path, I was empowered to experiment, learn, and make informed choices about my future.

What I deeply value is how ABC brings people from different generations and backgrounds together across projects, decision making, and conversations. I’ve worked with senior leaders and fresh graduates alike, and the one constant is that ideas matter here, regardless of how long you’ve been around or what title you hold. That is how we experience inclusion. The First 10 Best 10 initiative didn’t just help me navigate my career, it helped me understand myself. Across five years and five unique roles, one feeling has remained unchanged. I belong here. I’m seen, I’m heard, and I’m supported.

And that, to me, has made all the difference.
