I have always believed that every role should teach you something the previous one could not. Looking back, every opportunity I have received at Aditya Birla Capital has helped me build a new perspective and prepared me for one of the most meaningful assignments of my career: helping shape the Aditya Birla Capital Finishing School.
When I joined Aditya Birla Sun Life Insurance in 2018, I was supporting a banking channel partnership in North India. Less than a year later, I was offered an opportunity to move to Mumbai and take on a role at the corporate office. I trusted the opportunity and chose to learn.
The years that followed exposed me to different aspects of learning and development. From designing learning programmes to supporting large-scale initiatives, I gained a new perspective on capability building across the organisation. Each role stretched me in a different way. Staying open to change and embracing unfamiliar challenges became the foundation of my growth.
That mindset proved invaluable when I became part of the Aditya Birla Capital Finishing School journey.
Unlike anything I had worked on before, the programme was a true cross-functional collaboration, bringing together teams from Employer Brand, HR, Legal, Compliance, Digital Marketing, Sales Training, and our academic partners. We all came with different expertise, priorities, and perspectives, but worked towards a shared goal: preparing young graduates for successful careers in financial services.
What stood out most was how seamlessly people came together. Whenever a challenge arose, support was never far away. Teams brought diverse expertise, shared ideas freely, and inspired each other to think bigger. What was equally remarkable was that this sense of ownership extended beyond our internal teams. Our academic partners embraced the vision with the same commitment, contributing ideas, solving challenges alongside us, and working as one team. It was a powerful example of what #WinningAsOne truly looks like.
Seeing that collective effort come to life made the programme all the more meaningful. It reinforced that when people align around a common purpose, the impact extends far beyond the project itself.
What makes the programme truly rewarding is the opportunity it creates. For many young graduates, particularly from Tier 2 and Tier 3 cities, it serves as a bridge between aspiration and opportunity, helping them become industry-ready professionals while strengthening the organisation's future talent pipeline. That is what motivates me every day.
When I reflect on my journey, I realise that every role prepared me for this experience. Each opportunity, every transition, and every collaboration reinforced the power of collective effort.
For me, that's what makes Aditya Birla Capital special. It is an organisation that sees potential in people, gives them opportunities to grow, and creates an environment where great things happen when we truly work as one.
