Job Context: To develop, implement and testing of a Business Continuity Management framework at BSLI to ensure the recovery of its mission critical activities at agreed level within agreed timeframe in the event of any crisis/disaster impacting its Normal Operation.
Job Challenges: • The external events that can disrupt business have increased in frequency nature and magnitude. It is important for the organisation to have a planned approach to manage such challenges but practically impossible.
• The customer expectation of deliverables has increased multi fold. The organisation cannot afford any fallout in services under any circumstances. This may expose the organisation at reputational risk. Building a BCP plan to support organisation in all such circumstances is not costly but also very difficult.
• Organization wide preparedness on BCP in times of Rapid expansion of business and new products and services being launched
• Given the geographical span covering more than 600 branches in 500+ cities, with some very high risk branches, making people aware of their roles & responsibilities during any contingency
• Ensuring proper awareness & buy-in from other Functions on the agreed plan, identified Corrective & Preventive Action plans is a challenge due changing work environment, a basic human nature and difficulties it poses in your day to day work.
