Aditya Birla Money Ltd. (ABML) is primarily a Broking Company, deals in Equity, Commodity & Currency. Workforce of ~800 spread across ~40 locations with customer base of in excess of 3 lacs. Commodity operations are managed through its 100% subsidiary Aditya Birla Commodities Broking limited. ABML is one of the leading securities trading companies in the country. ABML operates in a fragmented equity broking business and has a daily turnover of close to 3,000 Crores with a market share of 1%. ABM works in a highly regulated environment with a host of regulators like SEBI, RBI, AMFI, FMC, IRDA etc. regulating its day to day operations. In addition to the regulator ABML is also subject to close monitoring and inspection through various agencies like NSE / BSE / NCDX / MCX / NSDL / CDSL etc. ABML also operates in a highly competitive market mainly in fragmented industry with ABML competition from major National Broking houses like ICICI Securities, HDFC Securities, Angel Broking, MOFSL etc. and a range of local Broking outfits.

The role of the Senior Technical Analyst based on the understanding of Market conditions (Domestic as well as Global) is to provide research inputs-trading ideas with a twin perspective of ensuring clients safety of capital along with higher churn thereby maintaining the revenue. Improving and building constant communication channels with branch teams and partners to ensure timely dissemination of Action Based trading ideas with an objective of generating incremental revenue.
The key responsibilities for the role:
• Imparting education by Webinar & Seminars to keep branch teams, Franchisee Partners updated about different market conditions & developing scenarios.
• Sharing specific customized research requirements for Financial Institutions & HNI Clients.
• Being agile & look for good features which can be incorporated in Web Portal & App and keep suggesting any changes required from existing structure.
• Ensuring constructively & intensively work out on learning and developing new techniques of market analysis with a sole intention to gather insights ahead of other market participants and detect change before it becomes apparent to others.
The key challenges faced:
• The extreme competition by different broking houses servicing same set of clients, there is high volatile environment across Asset Classes due to global & domestic uncertainties.
• The role involves keeping the teams educated & updated about the technicalities of subject like derivatives in a constantly evolving market conditions.
• In the volatile market, it is very crucial to be able to adapt to different situation and keep changing the analytical parameters which form the basis of sharing ideas.
The critical skill sets required for the role is to have sound knowledge of technical concepts, should be proficient in Technical Analysis w.r.t Technical Patterns, Candlestick Patterns, Moving Averages, Trend Determination, Price-Volume Analysis, Continuation Patterns and Oscillators. Must be proficient in Derivative Analysis w.r.t the understanding and implementation of concepts like PCR, Open Interest, and Option Pricing and VIX along with factoring in FII activity. Should have knowledge of Inter-Relationships between different asset classes which will help an individual take a tactical call on the Markets overall and Deriving trading strategies through integrated approach of “Technical and Macroeconomic analysis”.

Addressing all Stock Queries of the Dealers for the self-traded client positions. • To regularly stay in touch with all BM / ZH / RH and continuously making result oriented improvements to support the teams as specifically required. • To share research ideas with the HNI Online Clients directly in order to increase volumes & addressing their queries whenever they require any guidance on their own positions. |
